Is Odoo a clinical EHR? +
No, and we will tell you so on the first call. Odoo is the operational and financial system of the practice. The clinical record stays in Cliniko, Halaxy, MedicalDirector, Best Practice, or your specialist EHR. We integrate them, we do not replace them.
Can Odoo handle Medicare or our national health insurer? +
Direct integration to Medicare requires a certified channel and is rarely the right path. We integrate to the existing claiming software (HICAPS, Tyro Health, Genie Solutions) and consolidate finance in Odoo.
What about data residency and privacy? +
Hosting is your choice. Odoo Online with regional data residency, Odoo.sh in a chosen region, or self-hosted in a country and provider you select. We configure encryption-at-rest, role-based access, and audit logging to match your privacy regime.
Can we run multiple clinics on a single Odoo? +
Yes. Multi-company in Odoo, with separate ledgers, separate practitioner rosters, separate inventory, and consolidated reporting. We configure the boundaries to match your governance.
